Wasim Akram Wants A Fresh Start From Pakistan Against India

Former Pakistan skipper Wasim Akram wants the Men in Green to make a fresh start against India in the ongoing Asia Cup in their second Super Four clash.

However, former pacer of Pakistan, Wasim Akram asked the team to play all the fifty overs. They have bee thrashed by India on the very first game between them on the Group Stage match. India wins convincingly by eight wickets.

“Pakistan has to make a fresh start. We should try to play all the fifty overs,” Geo Tv quoted Akram, as saying.

Moreover, the right-hand batsman, Shoaib Malik’s played an outstanding knock against Afghanistan. It was a match-winning knock in their first Super Four clash of the tournament. Wasim Akram appreciated by saying that he is a “real match winner for Pakistan.”

Furthermore, left-arm bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi played well in the match against Afghanistan. However, he has been chosen over Mohammed Amir in the squad.

Babar Azam and Shoaib Malik did play well against India in the group stage match and will try to put the same consistency today. Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma also played a match-winning knock against Bangladesh. However, the Indian bowlers will try to continue the same show.

Moreover, Pakistan will try to level it to 6-6 as they are short of one win in the Asia Cup matches. They have played 11 matches out of which India won six and Pakistan won the rest five. Wasim Akram deliberately wants this thing to happen this time.

Both the arch-rivals will try to win the match and the series as well. They will be keen to put the hands on the trophy on September 28 (Saturday).
