Wasim Akram Wants to Train the 'Unreal Talent from Pakistan' Hasan Akhtar

Former Pakistan legend Wasim Akram who is arguably the greatest ever fast bowler to grace the game recently hailed a young talented fast bowler, Hasan Akhtar who made headlines with his bowling in the terrace.

The video of 6-year-old bowling with venom and swing on his terrace went viral a few days ago within a blink of an eye. He was getting a banana swing at such a tender age and was bowling at a good pace.

Akram said the talent was unreal and unbelievable.

“Six and a half-year-olds can hardly throw the ball but he [Hasan] is bowling with perfection. Although he is bowling with a tennis ball, which is totally different from a hard ball, but the way he is bowling, he is unbelievable and unreal,” BBC quoted the Sultan of Swing.

“The next step would be we would bring him here and show the real cricket, and we will have to keep an eye on him until he gets 12 years old to start real training,” the director of the Multan Sultans said.

The kid prodigy grabbed the headlines when his video became viral. He was seen bowling some exceptional outswingers and inswingers with a tennis ball. The talented kid hails from Chichwatni, Punjab.

Recalling his childhood memories, Akram said,

“I used to play like him on the streets and in my house. He reminds me of myself.”
