Wasim Jaffer, a legend of the Indian domestic circuit, believes that India’s new limited-overs wicketkeeper-batsman, KL Rahul will definitely make a comeback in the Indian Test team. Rahul has been impressive in the limited-overs format but his Test run has been considerably poor.
With no red-ball cricket lined up for the next six months, Rahul does not hold a chance of making a comeback and might not get to play Test cricket for long.
Despite Rahul set to stay away from red-ball cricket for long, Wasim Jaffer, former India opener and batting coach of Kings XI Punjab, thinks that Rahul will be in the Test squad.

KL Rahul Has Had A Topsy Turvy Run In Test Cricket
Rahul was given full backing in the 2018/19 season and surprisingly kept his place in the playing XI in the opening Test against England as well, where the visiting team went without Cheteswar Pujara. Barring his 149 in the final Test, Rahul had a poor run and only managed 150 runs in the other nine innings.
He scored 37 runs in the home series against West Indies in 2018. Rahul kept his opening spot for the first two Tests in Australia, where he just scored 48 runs. He was dropped from the playing XI for the third Test but was back in the playing XI for the fourth Test when Rohit returned home. Rahul kept his spot for the West Indies tour but was dropped from thereon. Shubman Gill replaced him in the Test squad and has kept his place since then.
