Bangladesh so far on day of the historic day-night Test against India at Eden Gardens in Kolkata had a tiring day. Virat Kohli first partnered with Ajinkya Rahane and then Ravindra Jadeja to dominate the visiting bowlers as India aim to take a massive lead. But Abu Jayed, who looked promising of all the Bangladeshi bowlers brought some respite to the team knocking over Ravindra Jadeja.
With an overnight lead of 72 runs, Virat Kohli was in his elements from the start and kept the same tempo right through. He brought up his 27th Test hundred and added vital partnerships with Ajinkya Rahane and Jadeja and he looks hungry for more. In the process, he joined former Australia skipper Ricky Ponting in the list of most international centuries by skippers across the globe.

Abu Jayed finally gets his reward
But Bangladesh finally tasted some success when Abu Jayed bamboozled Ravindra Jadeja to knock over his off-stump. It was a simple delivery pitched on the good-length but it was strange from the India all-rounder as he watched the delivery jagging back in. And for some strange reason decides to shoulder arms to it without even getting his front leg across to cover off. All this while actually kept his eyes on it all the way through as the ball uprooted the timber.
The visitors sensed something as they removed Virat Kohli soon after a magnificent hundred. Bangladesh will hope to clean the tail as early as possible and produce an outstanding effort in a bid to draw the game.
