While the game of cricket is known to play the role of a binding force in this cricket-obsessed nation, friends and families end up on opposite sides during this time of the year. The Indian Premier League temporarily makes the friends enemies for a couple of months as they support different teams. Well, such a scene was recently witnessed during the game between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings.
Anushka Sharma and Sakshi Dhoni – the better-halves of Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni – were seen cheering their husbands from the stands. And while the two ladies look like the closest of friends when they cheer for India, the two showed contrasting emotions. With Dhoni going great guns, Sakshi looked in joyous mood. She was seen cheering and giving high-fives after every six hit by Dhoni. Just after Dhoni sent Mohammed Siraj over point for a six in 18th over, Sakshi was seen shouting ‘one more six’ from the stands.

On the other hand, Anushka Sharma looked disappointed as Royal Challengers failed to win the game from a strong position. Apart from Sakshi and Anushka, Suresh Raina’s wife Priyanka and Imran Tahir’s wife Sumayya Dildar were also in attendance.
Coming to the game, Super Kings beat Royal Challengers by 5 wickets to move to the top of the points table. Chasing a mammoth 206, Super Kings were looking out of contest after being reduced to 74 for 4.
However, Ambati Rayudu and skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni revived the chase with a 101-run stand before Rayudu was found short of his crease on 82.
Rayudu’s dismissal turned the game on its head but Dhoni remained till the end to take his team home owing to his calm and collected approach.
The equation was finally down to 16 off last over to be bowled by Corey Anderson. Bravo started the proceedings by hitting a boundary and a six in the first two deliveries before taking a single to bring Dhoni back on strike. And Dhoni did the rest in style.
The 36-year-old wasted no time and shuffled across the crease – to smash Anderson for a huge six over long-on – to finish the match in his trademark style yet again.
