RCB skipper Virat Kohli is always animated and charged up on the field. And when his wife Anushka Sharma is watching from the stands, Kohli never fails to amaze her with his performance. On Saturday, Virat Kohli pulled off another masterclass as Royal Challengers Bangalore took on Chennai Super Kings in match 25 of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020).

Winning the toss, Virat Kohli elected to bat first. The start wasn’t good enough for the Royal Challengers Bangalore as their star opener, Aaron Finch once again failed to impress with the bat and was once again dismissed in the powerplay as Deepak Chahar swung in a beauty of a delivery to get rid of the Australian limited-overs skipper.

At number 3, Virat Kohli came to the crease, and just like his usual self, Kohli tried to settle on the pitch. He stitched a decent partnership with Devdutt Padikkal, the opener in form for RCB this year. Soon, Padikkal departed and so did AB de Villiers. However, Virat wasn’t to be stopped as the captain took the responsibility and carried the RCB innings forward.

Virat changed gears in the last 6 overs and soon after completing his half-century, Virat Kohli accelerated to power RCB to 169 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in their 20 overs. As soon as Virat completed his half-ton, his wife, Anushka Sharma celebrated in the stands and Virat accepted her appraisal from the ground.

Chennai Super Kings will now have to chase a total of 170 runs in the second innings to grab their third victory of IPL 2020 and move upwards in the IPL 2020 points table. It will be interesting to see how Bangalore bowlers contain the in-form Shane Watson and Faf du Plessis.
