Arjun Tendulkar is making rapid strides on the cricket field towards realising his dream of becoming an international player. Son of the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, Arjun had earned his maiden India U-19 call-up last year and has not looked back. He is currently plying his trade for Aakash Tigers in the ongoing T20 Mumbai League and has already impressed with his all round skills.

On Monday, he impressed with both bat and ball to help his side beat North Mumbai Panthers. The southpaw scored 28 runs and picked up three wickets as the Tigers thrashed the Panthers by six wickets. Along with Arjun, Shams Mulani impressed too. Both Mulani and Tendulkar’s fine show with the ball helped Tigers restrict the Panthers to 169 for six.

The Panthers rode on their stand-in skipper Vikrant Auti’s 52 to post a competitive total. Auti gave a fast start to his side in the company of debutant Vishal Dhagaonkar (46 off 26). However, the Panthers failed to finish strongly and ended up at 169.

Tendulkar then gave the Tigers a flying start before Mulani took charge and shared an unbroken 84-run partnership with Suryansh Shedge (27* off 24) to take Tigers over the line with six wickets and four balls to spare. The game helped the Tigers get back to winning ways after their loss to SoBo Supersonics. The Tigers have now two wins and as many losses from their first four games.

Coming to Arjun, he is all over the internet for his stunning six against Eagle Thane Strikers that landed in the top tier of the Wankhede Stadium. During the 8th over of Tigers’ innings, Aishwary Surve bowled a short delivery. Arjun picked the length quickly and smashed the ball stunningly over deep square leg.
