But so far, Virat Kohli & Co. have not managed to end the team’s long wait for its first-ever IPL trophy. Despite always having a strong team on the paper, the Royal Challengers rarely manage to live to the expectation. So far, they have made it to three IPL finals but have lost all of them.

In fact, the Bangalore-based outfit is one of the most inconsistent teams in the league in the last few years. Ever since Kohli took charge in 2013, they made it to the playoffs just once when in 2016 their skipper scored nearly 1,000 runs and led the team to the final. But after 2016, they have not managed to progress ahead of the group stage even once.

The Proteas superstar, who will play for the franchise next season, said the line while he was signing autographs for the fans at the Melbourne Cricket Ground after the match between Melbourne Stars and Melbourne Renegades. One of the fans requested Dale Steyn to say the line and he duly obliged.
