Watch: Dasun Shanaka Takes A One Handed Stunner To Dismiss Nitish Rana

Sri Lankan captain Dasun Shanaka pulled off a left-handed stunner to send back India’s last recognized batter in the form of Nitish Rana in the final T20I in Colombo on Thursday.

It all happened during the 9th over of the Indian innings when Dasun Shanaka flummoxed Nitish Rana with a slower delivery.

Rana didn’t pick it at all as he looked to flick it on the on-side.

He ended up getting a leading edge and Shanaka dived to his left to take a stunning one-handed catch to inflict further misery on the visitors.

That catch by Dasun Shanaka just about summed up India’s day as they lost their 5th wicket for the score of 36 in the 9th over.

Having won the toss, Shikhar Dhawan decided to bat first and the decision proved to be a disastrous one as Team India batters fell like a pack of cards against the leg-spin of Wanindu Hasaranga.

While Dhawan and Devdutt Padikkal fell to Dushmantha Chameera and Ramesh Mendis, Wanindu Hasarnga proceeded to clean up the likes of Ruturaj Gaikwad, Sanju Samson to leave India reeling at 4/25.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar hung around for a while before yet another one-handed stunner by Dasun Shanaka at the cover region ended his stay at the crease.

At the time of writing, India were reeling at 8/63 after 17 overs and they are in serious danger of registering their lowest-ever T20I score.
