Ben Stokes is perhaps the most popular and loved man in England right now. Just a few weeks ago, he played a huge role in England’s historic World Cup triumph by playing a sublime knock in the final. And on Sunday, he perhaps did even better by almost single-handedly taking England over the line against Australia in the third Ashes Test

Stokes scored all but one run in a last-wicket stand of 76 with Jack Leach (1 not out). Stokes hit the winning runs through the covers to spark wild celebrations among the crowd at Leeds. Australia had the chance to seal the game when England needed just two. However, Nathan Lyon fumbled the ball when presented with a golden opportunity to run out Leach. On the very next ball, Stokes would have been lbw had Australia not wasted their final review in the previous over.

The game looked well over for England when they were reduced to 286 for 9 while chasing 359. But before Australia could take the final wicket and seal the Ashes, Stokes decided to torment them. He hit four boundaries and seven sixes to seal the most unlikeliest of victories for his team. The Ashes is now alive and England have the chance to retain the urn. Stokes remained unbeaten on 135 to take his side home in a thrilling manner.

The cricketing world has been busy paying tribute to Stokes for his unbelievable innings. But perhaps no one has paid tribute to Stokes better than one fan who went to his office on Monday wearing cricket kit. Former Australia batsman Dean Jones posted the hilarious video on Twitter, showing the fan entering the office with a bat in his hand while he was wearing pads and gloves.
