Watch: England Players Pull Hilarious Prank On Ollie Pope During Live Interview

England star Ollie Pope fell victim to a hilarious prank pulled by his teammates while he was during a live interview. Ollie Pope was giving an interview during the third and final ODI between England and Ireland earlier this week.

The right-handed batsman had locked himself in his room while giving the interview. However, it was not enough for him to give the interview smoothly. As soon as his teammates knew about the interview, they started disturbing him in a hilarious manner.

The incident happened a day before the ongoing first Test against Pakistan. The English middle-order batsman was engaged in a live interview with Sky Sports during the innings break of the ODI in Southampton.

Former England international Mark Butcher, who was on air for Sky Sports, noticed the activities taking place behind Ollie Pope and he asked the latter to sort them out. After noticing that the landline was ringing continuously, Butcher asked Ollie Pope to take the phone off the hook or pull the cord out of the wall.

The England middle-order batsman eventually found out that the prankster was none other than Chris Woakes. Pope knew about it when Woakes started calling him on his phone.

“These boys are giving me a lot of… I can see Chris Woakes trying to call me on my phone, it’s not good,” said Ollie Pope.

England, meanwhile, went on to lose the third ODI to England despite scoring 328. Ireland chased down the big total with a ball to spare to register their second win over England in the ODIs. Ollie Pope did not play the game as he was in Manchester with the England Test team.
