Age is just a number and 39-year old MS Dhoni has proved it once again. Just around a week ago, the Chennai Super Kings skipper was struggling while running between the wickets but on Wednesday, he showed it that the incident was just a one-off as he took a stunning diving catch in the ongoing clash against Kolkata Knight Riders.

What is even more incredible about that catch is that it came in the final over of Knight Riders’ innings. Despite keeping for 19 overs in the heat of UAE, the veteran wicketkeeper-batsman made a full-length dive to take the stunner and send back Shivam Mavi for a duck.

Facing just his first ball, Mavi wanted to play a big shot but was outfoxed by veteran Dwayne Bravo. The West Indian bowled a wide slower delivery to the tail-ender and the latter could only manage to edge it behind the stumps where MS Dhoni was standing with his right glove off.

At first, it looked like the CSK skipper’s decision to take the glove off had backfired as the ball had spilled out of his hands. However, he made a timely full-length dive to complete a stunning catch.

Meanwhile, CSK bowlers made a fine comeback to bowl out KKR for 167. Batting first, the Knight Riders were off to a decent start with openers Shubman Gill and Rahul Tripathi adding 37 runs for the first wicket. At the halfway stage, the two-time champions were comfortably placed at 93 for 2 and were looking set to post above 180.

However, the likes of Eoin Morgan, Andre Russell, Nitish Rana and Dinesh Karthik failed to deliver and KKR could only 74 runs in the final ten overs while losing 8 wickets. Tripathi top-scored for the side with 81.
