Flamboyant India allrounder Hardik Pandya smashed an unbeaten 158 for Reliance 1 against BPCL in the semifinal of the ongoing DY Patil T20 tournament. Having already scored a 37-ball ton earlier in the competition, the right-handed batsman scored his 158 runs off just 55 balls.

Hardik Pandya reached his century in 39 balls with a scintillating six over mid-on. Earlier, BPCL won the toss and opted to field in the final and their decision was justified early on as they sent back the Reliance 1 openers cheaply. However, Hardik Pandya just tore them apart with some brutal hitting.

The allrounder took the bowlers to the cleaners and hit sixes all around the park. During his whirlwind knock, he smashed a staggering 20 humongous sixes in addition to hitting six fours. His stunning knock helped Reliance 1 post a mammoth total of 238 in the allotted 20 overs.

The 158 is also the highest score by an Indian in a T20 game. Earlier, Shreyas Iyer held the record of the highest individual score by an Indian in T20 with 147 for Mumbai against Sikkim in their Group C match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

The Hardik Pandya warm-up:

Hardik Pandya is a sight to behold when he is in no mood. The allrounder is one of the most animated characters in the game and he showed it on Friday. He entertained the fans not only with his exhilarating power-hitting but also with his antics while batting.

Such an incident took place in the 17th over of the game when he was batting on 85. For some reason, Hardik Pandya decided to do some stretch and came up with an absolute bizarre exercise.

Here is a clip of Hardik Pandya doing that bizarre exercise:
