The India National Cricket Team scripted history on Monday (January 7th), as they won the four-match Test series (2-1) for the first time on Australian soil. Led by Virat Kohli, the Indian team achieved the historic feat after the game at the SCG got drawn. As the visitors were already leading the series 2-1, Australia had to win the final Test in Sydney Test to level it; however, with rain and bad light playing the spoilsport, the result couldn’t be out. Also, the Indian players, on day five at SCG, were seen dancing, as they triumphed the Aussies.

Dancing to the tunes!!

In a brief video released on the social media, the Indian players along with skipper Kohli looked ecstatic, as they show some dance moves to the fans. Though the past two days have been gloomy in Sydney, the mood of the players was all but upbeat. As Pant initiated the steps, the other teammates went along. However, Virat, later in the press conference jokingly said, ‘Pujara couldn’t even do that’.

A historic day for India in Sydney

For all apparent reasons, the Indian fans will remember the date January 7th, 2018. As history is a witness, any Indian team in the past had failed to win a Test series in Australia. Statistically, off the 11 series played before this one, India had drawn three and lost eight. Meanwhile, this side, led by a perhaps the greatest batsman of this generation, Virat Kohli, has put their hands on the trophy.

Moreover, India will now face Australia in the first of the three ODI’s in Sydney on January 12th (Saturday).
