England star Jos Buttler was adorably interrupted by his young daughter during a recent interaction with the media. The wicketkeeper-batsman is currently preparing for the upcoming T20I and ODI series against South Africa. England arrived in South Africa on Monday.

The Proteas are hosting England for three ODIs and three T20Is. While the upcoming assignment will be South Africa’s first since the pandemic outbreak halted the game in March, England are gearing up for their fourth series after the resumption.

In July, they hosted West Indies to mark a return to action before welcoming Ireland, Pakistan and Australia. The Test series between England and West Indies was also the first international series since action around the world came to halt in March.

He soon turned his focus towards the upcoming series and said England aim to attain some consistency by winning in South Africa as the T20 World Cup approaches. The next edition of the tournament is scheduled to be held in India next year.

“To go and win the series is the ultimate aim, of course. We’re building towards a World Cup but one thing we did very well in 50-over cricket was win and learn at the same time,” Jos Buttler said.

“We’re building into a tournament, so of course winning gives you confidence. When you can play well, you gain role clarity in the side, and you can try to nail down your 11 and 15 (squad),” he added.
