The young fast bowler, Khaleel Ahmed had a reaction or two to show to the world after he dismissed Kane Williamson. During the final match of the T20I series in Hamilton, Khaleel got the New Zealand skipper off a slower bouncer. However, his celebration had a different story to tell; as he had been in and out of the team and was not among the wickets as well. Thus, picking up Kane’s wicket must have boosted his confidence.

Munro, poor fielding guide NZ past 200 in Hamilton

The Seddon Park in Hamilton seemed to have brought the old memories back for the India team. Rohit earlier won the toss and asked New Zealand to bat first. The decision looked like a failed call, as the NZ openers began the onslaught from the word go. The openers, Colin Munro and Tim Seifert, added 80 for the first wicket before Tim got out to Kuldeep Yadav; courtesy a brilliant stumping from MS Dhoni.

The New Zealand skipper, Kane Williamson then joined Munro at the crease. The process of scoring runs at will didn’t stop there, as the southpaw continued hitting the boundaries. Kane, on the other end, was jamming his feet on the ground and was hitting the odd-balls in the gaps. However, in his quest in collecting more runs, Williamson put the third gear only to see himself getting out.

Khaleel Ahmed, who retained his place in the XI despite his okayish show in two games got the big fish. It was during the 15th over when the left-arm pacer bowled a slower bouncer and tricked the NZ skipper. Kane thought of pulling the ball resulting in him mistiming it. Kuldeep Yadav, who was standing at the short fine leg area, caught it comfortably. Meanwhile, the right-handed batsman scored 27 off 21 balls.
