Away from the hustle and bustle of international cricket, MS Dhoni is currently spending some quality time in his home town Ranchi. The former India skipper is not a part of the Indian team since the end of the World Cup in July. As soon as the tournament ended, MS Dhoni decided to take a sabbatical from the game.

Since then, he has missed the series against West Indies, South Africa and is set to miss the one against Bangladesh too this month. There is still no clarity over when will MS Dhoni finally return to the Indian team. But for the time being, the veteran wicketkeeper-batsman seems to be enjoying his time in Ranchi.

Last month, he attended the last day of the third Test between India and South Africa in Ranchi. After the game, MS Dhoni had visited the Indian dressing room and was seen interacting with the players. The fans would be desperately hoping that the legendary cricketer dons the famous blue jersey again.

And recently, the 38-year made a fan’s day with an incredible gesture. One fan had the opportunity to talk to MS Dhoni and he made the most of it. The die-hard fan wanted the Ranchi stalwart to pen an autograph on his Royal Enfield motorcycle and the cricketer duly obliged.

Here is a clip of that beautiful gesture from MS Dhoni:

Meanwhile, chief selector MSK Prasad recently made it clear that the selectors are moving on from Dhoni and will try out youngsters. Consequently, the retained Rishabh Pant in the team and recalled Sanju Samson as a backup for the Bangladesh series.

“We are moving on,” Prasad said after announcing the squads for the upcoming series against Bangladesh. “Going into domestic cricket, getting his touch back or thoughts about retirement, everything is purely his personal [decision].

“We’ve already laid the roadmap for the future, I’m sure you can see in the way we are selecting the teams. We definitely had a chat with Dhoni and he also endorses our view of backing youngsters,” he added.
