Chennai Super Kings recently shared a video on their social media wherein MS Dhoni, their skipper, was seen getting emotional while speaking about the fan who painted his entire house in CSK colours. Dhoni is currently in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), contesting in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and representing Chennai Super Kings in the tournament.

As per Dhoni’s and the team’s standards, IPL 2020 has been a forgetful tournament so far for the Men in Yellow and their fans. For the first time in their IPL history, Chennai Super Kings have been eliminated directly from the group stages and this just goes on to show how the woes have continued to grow this season for the Chennai-based franchise.

MS Dhoni, himself, has looked out of touch and out of form for the majority of the season and some of his decisions have sparked huge controversies in this year’s IPL.

MS Dhoni Gets Emotional While Addressing His Super Fan

On Monday, Chennai Super Kings shared a video on their social media wherein MS Dhoni can be seen addressing his super fan Gopi Krishnan, who had recently shown a great gesture by painting his entire house in CSK colours. He had also named his house as the ‘Home of Dhoni Fan’.

“I saw it on Instagram and I think it’s a great gesture. At the same time if you see, it’s not only about me, they are the biggest fans of CSK also,” MS Dhoni said.

“The way they have done it, everybody will know what they are really talking about. It shows the kind of feeling they have towards CSK and towards me. It’s not something that can be done very easily, you sit and decide and the whole family needs to agree on that and then you go-ahead  with something like that,” Dhoni added.

MS Dhoni further said, “This is something that will stay. It’s not a social media post where it will disappear overnight. I am thankful and I would like to say thank you to the entire family. I think it’s a great gesture.”

Chennai Super Kings Have Failed To Deliver In IPL 2020

Chennai Super Kings’ fans will be in a lot of grief this time as they have nothing to cheer about. CSK became the first team to be eliminated from IPL 2020 on Sunday as they are currently on the bottom of the points table and have been there for the majority of the season. For a franchise who has enjoyed so much success, such a performance is certainly disappointing.

The franchise has looked in a messy situation and out of the 12 games played so far in the tournament, they have lost 8 games horrendously. Their last couple of fixtures are now left and next up, they will meet Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and then Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) on the final matchday of the league stage.
