Watch: MS Dhoni Stops Virat Kohli From Reviewing Umpire's Decision

Virat Kohli has already led India to eight Test series wins. two ODI series wins, one T20I series win in addition to leading the Men in Blue to the final of the Champions Trophy which was his first ICC tournament as captain. However, it seems the 28-year old still relies on his illustrious predecessor Mahendra Singh Dhoni when it comes to taking big calls. Time and again we have seen Kohli running to Dhoni to take tips and suggestions and the fans witnessed the scene once again during the ongoing first ODI against Sri Lanka in Dambulla.

The incident occurred in the 18th over when leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal‘s delivery beat Kusal Mendis‘ defence and hit him straight into the pads. The ball was looking to miss the off stump but the Indian fielders including Dhoni went up in unison. However, before the ever-excited Kohli could take a review and waste it, Dhoni walked up to him and probably asked him not to review the decision and consequently Team India decided against challenging the umpire’s decision.
