MS Dhoni has a knack of stealing the limelight. No matter how far he wants to remain from the spotlight, the cricket star always dominates the headlines for one reason or another. Well, the former India skipper has done the same on Independence Day too.
India is celebrating its 72nd Independence Day on Wednesday and cricketers from around the country have taken to social networking sites to wish the nation.
For all Indians Independence Day is a day to remember the people who fought the Britishers and gave up their lives to free the countrymen from the clutches of the foreigners. India’s freedom struggle was a hard-fought one and is celebrated every year with great pomp and grandeur to commemorate the special day.
Parades are held in all state capitals and district headquarters to celebrate Independence Day. Indians across the country also hoist the tricolour to mark the day. On Independence Day, the Prime Minister greets the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort in New Delhi.
The likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and other cricketing stalwarts did not waste much time in wishing their countrymen on the special day. But amidst all this, a video has surfaced which is perhaps the best one can have on Independence Day.
In the video, Dhoni could be seen teaching a young girl the song Saare Jahan Se Achcha. The video has taken the internet by storm and after seeing it, one can say it thoroughly deserves the attention it is garnering
