MS Dhoni and last over are a match made in heaven. Regarded as the greatest finisher in the history of the game, the former India skipper rarely fails to deliver in the final over of a match. And he showed it again on Tuesday during the match between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals although he could not prevent a defeat for his side.

CSK lost the game by 16 runs to suffer their first defeat of the tournament. But the fans must be delighted to see MS Dhoni’s batting in the final over. The CSK skipper is marking his return to competitive cricket through the ongoing IPL and scored his first runs since last year’s World Cup during the game against Royals.

He had faced two balls against Mumbai Indians too last week but could not score any run. Against Royals, he once again demoted himself in the batting order and when he came out to bat at number seven, the writing was pretty much on the wall for CSK.

As usual, the right-handed batsman took his time early on before deciding to play the big shots in the final over when CSK needed 38 runs. He hit three consecutive sixes in the over and the first one went all the way out of the stadium and landed on the nearby street.

The next two sixes were huge too with the second six covering a distance of 92 meter.

Here is a clip of a man collecting the ball that landed on the street:
