Pakistan handed a debut cap to 16-year-old pace sensation Naseem Shah for the opening Test against Australia at the Gabba in Brisbane. However, the visitors didn’t have a good day as the pace trio of Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood took nine wickets between them to shoot Pakistan out for 240 on the opening day of the Test match.

Meanwhile, ahead of the start of the Test, it was all emotional in the Pakistan camp as legendary fast bowler Waqar Younis came forward to hand the debut cap to Naseem Shah. The 16-year-old, who has just seven first-class matches under his belt, has been the talk of the tour from even before he landed in Australia, with footage of his exploits in a short domestic career going viral. When Naseem Shah made the ball talking against Australia A in Perth everyone sat up and took notice of a fast bowling prodigy.
