Nathan Lyon and Mohammed Shami showed the sportsman spirit during the Adelaide ODI. In the second match between Australia and India, both the players collided during the fag end of the innings; but later shook hands to settle the dust. It was in the 49th over, when Shami and Lyon ran into each other; Shami also got hit on the head by Lyon’s bat.

Marsh’s hundred keeps Australia in driver’s seat

Shaun Marsh hit his seventh ODI hundred in Adelaide, his third in his past six innings. Meanwhile, Australia batted first after winning the toss. Captain Aaron Finch failed to get going again, as the demons of inswinging deliveries haunted him here as well. For the third time in the series, he got bowled off an incoming delivery; exposing his weakness on a larger scale.

Alex Carey, the other opener too didn’t find too many runs, as Shami bowled a brilliant bouncer to get rid of him. Other batsmen like Usman Khawaja, Peter Handscomb and even Marcus Stoinis left no impact on the game as well. However, it was the pair of Shaun Marsh and Glenn Maxwell, which helped the Aussies pose a total of 298/9 in 50 overs. Though Maxwell played a quick-fire cameo of 48 off 36 balls, Shaun Marsh slammed his first hundred of the summer.

Lyon-Shami collide; shake hands afterwards

Mohammed Shami has had another decent outing the ODI series. After he had produced some good yorkers in the first game, Kohli gave him the ball to do the same here in Adelaide as well. Meanwhile, in his quest to take the wickets first, and to put a stop on leaking runs, Shami had bowled well in the death overs.

During the 49th over, he bowled a brilliant yorker only to see Lyon complete a single, but after running into him. Though the collision wasn’t that impactful, both Lyon and Shami shook hands afterwards to put a good end to it.
