Over the years, the game of cricket has seen some bizarre dismissals that have left the cricketing world absolutely dumbstruck. From hitting the wicket, obstructing the field or even time-out, the game has seen it all. But these rules are very much written in the rule books and so the players remain cautious to avoid falling prey to these. But what can one do when his teammate assist the opposition in order to get him out. Well, in that situation, you are left with just option and that is to curse your luck as well as your teammate.

Well, something similar happened in a recent local game when a batsmen had to depart after his partner accidentally assisted the opposition. It all happened when the batsman on the strike defended a fuller-length delivery just near his body. In the meantime, his partner , on the other end sensed an opportunity to steal a single and took off straightaway. However, what happened thereafter was absolute bizarre.

The batsman on the strike, however, was unaware of his partner’s intentions and nonchalantly picked up the ball and threw it to the bowler. And by the time the non-striker would have returned back to his crease, the bowler had already dislodged the bails. Consequently, the non-striker was out by a fair distance and was soon seen venting his frustration at him teammate before walking off.

Here is a clip of that bizarre dismissal:
