After going wicketless in the first One-Day International, Australia pace spearhead Pat Cummins charged in right from the start in the ongoing second match at the Eden Gardens to break his wicket duck. With the wicket surprisingly offering ample bounce, Cummins ran in fast and troubled the Indian openers-Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane with the bounce early on.

However, in doing so, the pacer nearly injured himself when he took a a nasty tumbling in his bowling stride. The incident happened in the fifth over when he ran in to bowl at Rahane. But just when he was getting ready to deliver the ball, it slept out of his fingers while the bowler himself slipped in his followthrough. Down on his knees after the incident, Cummins could do nothing by smile as he luckily avoided any injury.

Here is a clip of that incident:

Meanwhile, India were 19 for no loss when the incident occurred. Rahane was playing on 11 while Rohit was batting on 7. India are leading the five-match series 1-0 after winning the series-opener by 26 runs (DLS method).
