In the last few months, Rohit Sharma has delivered some absolute hilarious comments while interacting with the journalists. And on Thursday, he came up with yet another gem while talking to the scribes. Rohit Sharma was interacting with the media ahead of the first T20I against Bangladesh in Delhi on November 3.

Ahead of the game, Delhi’s weather has been the talk of the town and understandably so. The overall air quality index (AQI) crossed the 400 mark on Wednesday this week, raising concerns among residents of the city.

An AQI between 0-50 is considered “good”, 51-100 “satisfactory”, 101-200 “moderate”, 201-300 “poor”, 301-400 “very poor”, and 401-500 “severe”. Above 500 is “severe-plus emergency” category. Thus, there are apprehensions over the players being exposed to the polluted air while playing the game.

The BCCI was widely criticised when they hosted Sri Lanka for a Test in December 2017 and the visiting players had to wear masks while fielding. Keeping all these in mind, a journalist asked Rohit Sharma about the current weather in Delhi and his views on it. But Rohit Sharma came up with a hilarious response to the question, saying:

“Masala chahiye, lekin dunga nai (you want something spice but I won’t give anything)”

Rohit Sharma, meanwhile, will lead India in the three-match T20I series. Regular captain Virat Kohli has been rested for the upcoming assignment. After the T20Is, both the teams will lock horns in a two-match Test series. Rohit Sharma will be looking to continue his fine form when he leads the team.
