The much-awaited second wedding reception of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma took place in Mumbai on Tuesday (December 26). The newlyweds had hosted the first reception in New Delhi for their relatives, but most of the fans were looking forward to the second one as it was being held for the couple’s celebrity colleagues from cricket and Bollywood.

As expected, the lavish party in Mumbai was attended by several big names of cricket and Bollywood stars. Some cricketers seen at the reception were cricketers Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Sunil Gavaskar, Manish Pandey, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, Umesh Yadav, Ravichandran Ashwin, Cheteshwar Pujara and Jaydev Unadkat. The likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, Aditya Roy Kapur, Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman and other eminent personality from Bollywood were present in the party too.

Amidst the arrival of all the big names in the party, one beautiful moment was witnessed when Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan arrived at the venue. The actor, with whom Anushka Sharma made her film debut, got a warm welcome from the newlyweds and he too made sure to return the favour. In a video that is going viral across the social media, the Kolkata Knight Riders owner could be seen talking to the couple warmly, hugging and kissing their hands.

Meanwhile, after the conclusion of the Mumbai reception, Kohli and Anushka will travel to South Africa where Team India will take on the Proteas in a full-fledged series consisting of three Tests, six ODIs, and three Twenty20 Internationals. The Bollywood actress will spend New Year’s Eve with Kohli before returning to India for her work.
