If catches win matches, then Delhi Daredevils (DD) definitely deserve to be on the winning side in their ongoing match against defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) after Trent Boult and Glenn Maxwell pulled off a stunning shared effort to send back the dangerous Kieron Pollard.

Chasing 175 in the do-or-die, Indians were comfortably placed at 74 for two before two wickets on consecutive deliveries turned the game on its head.

Amit Mishra helped Delhi claw their way back by dismissing Evin Lewis on the last ball of the ninth over. The hard-hitting Windies scored 48 off 31 balls. And on the very first balls of the next over, Nepal’s spin sensation Sandeep Lamichhane sent back Pollard to put Delhi on top. The credit of the wicket, however, should go to Boult and Maxwell.

The leg-spinner bowled a tossed up delivery on the stumps and Pollard lifted it with a straight bat. The shot, however, did not have enough power to clear the ropes. But Maxwell still had a lot to do to change it in a catch.

Australian stayed at the edge of the ropes and grabbed it brilliantly. He soon realised that he is going over the ropes and smartly threw the ball towards Trent Boult who was waiting to catch the ball.

Here is a clip of that stunner:

Earlier in the game, another fifty from the in-form Rishabh Pant helped Delhi recover from a shaky start and post a challenging 174 for four.

The wicketkeeper-batsman Pant slammed 64 off 44 balls with the help of four fours and as many sixes. He was well supported by Vijay Shankar who remained unbeaten on 43 of 30 balls.
