Before the start of the ongoing T20I series against New Zealand, India captain Virat Kohli had hailed the opposition players as “nice guys”. He was responding to a question about where the visitors were thinking about avenging the loss in last year’s World Cup semifinal.

And it looks like not only the New Zealand players, but the New Zealand fans are also nice. A video of a Kiwi fan is going viral in which he could be seen chanting “Bharat Mata ki Jai” while being surrounded by Indian fans during the second T20I in Auckland.

India had won that game by seven wickets thanks to an unbeaten fifty from KL Rahul. on Wednesday, the Men in Blue won the third game in thrilling style in the super over to wrap up the five-match series with two matches remaining. Rohit Sharma starred with the bat in the thrilling clash. Coming to the incident of the fan chanting Bharat Mata ki Jai, he was seen learning how to say the words from Indian supporters before yelling them out loud.

As far as the third match is concerned, India won the thriller in the super over. Batting first, New Zealand scored 17 runs in the super over. In reply, India managed to score only 8 from the first four balls before Rohit Sharma hit two sixes on the last two balls to take the team home.

Earlier in the game, Rohit Sharma’s first fifty of the series helped India post 179 for 5 in the allotted 20 overs. He scored 65 from just 40 balls and added 89 runs with KL Rahul for the first wicket. India were looking set to cross the 200-run mark when Rohit was batting. However, the middle-order batsmen failed to capitalise this time around.

In reply, New Zealand looked set to win the game with their captain Kane Williamson playing a stunning knock of 95 runs. They needed just 1 run from the final ball when Ross Taylor was facing Mohammed Shami. But the veteran batsman was cleaned up by the India pacer before the game was decided by the super over.
