The dab dance craze, which has been spreading through professional sports across the globe, has now found its way in the Indian cricket team. The celebration was first seen when Ravichandran Ashwin had Upul Tharanga caught at short leg on the second day of the ongoing second Test against Sri Lanka in Colombo. KL Rahul managed to cling on to a tough catch and as soon as he completed the catch, he along with captain Virat Kohli celebrated the dismissal with the famous dance that first came into prominence in the United States.

And the dab came out once again on the third day when Virat Kohli took a catch off the bowling of Umesh Yadav to send back Kusal Mendis for 24.

In case you missed the dab by Rahul and Kohli on the second day, here is a clip of that celebration:

Well, India have been a bit late catching on but Kohli & Co. are making up for it by celebrating almost every dismissal with a dab.

Meanwhile, Mendis’ dismissal early on the third day has put the hosts in further trouble. In reply to India’s mammoth first innings total of 622 for 9 (declared), Sri Lanka had finished day 2 on 50 for 2 but lost both their overnight batsmen- captain Dinesh Chandimal and Mendis- early on the third day with only 64 runs on the board. India are leading the three-match series 1-0 after winning the series-opener at Galle by 304 runs.
