It was a fairytale love story and a wedding for Virat Kohli. The Indian National Cricket Team skipper was in relation with the Bollywood actress, Anushka Sharma for a long time and then married her. They always gave the relationship goals for the youth out there with their unconditional love. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli describes the first meeting of the duo.

Recently, Virat Kohli quoted that Anushka Sharma has changed a lot for him in professional and personal life. He gave a lot of credits to her for changing him a lot. Virat Kohli quoted that he curbed aggression after marriage and going after things in a professional way.

Revealing the story, Virat Kohli quoted that he met Anushka Sharma in a commercial advertisement shoot for a shampoo. He was so nervous that Anushka was a professional actor, who can pull off things easily while Kohli is relatively new to the field.

In order to get the stress out, Virat Kohli cracked a joke at Anushka Sharma, which didn’t go down well for the Indian skipper. Kohli said that he looked like a fool in front of her, as the joke wasn’t that great. However, after that, they became friends and enjoyed each other’s company, which saw them being married to each other.

“The first time I met her I cracked a joke immediately. I was very nervous and that’s why I cracked a joke because I didn’t know what to do. I was standing on sets and was being all nervous and jittery,” said Kohli.

“I thought I was being funny (when I cracked that joke), and I said something which wasn’t probably the right thing to say. She is tall and she was wearing heels (makes a gesture which isn’t too much) and she was being told that I am not that tall, I am not 6 feet plus or something… she walked in with heels and was looking taller than me and I was like didn’t you get a higher pair of heels,” he further added.

“Then she was like ‘excuse me’ and then I was like ‘no, I am just joking’. My joke became such a weird moment for myself. I was such a fool, to be honest. She was so confident, she is on sets regularly,” he said in a recent interview with American television presenter, Graham Bensinger.

On the work front, Virat Kohli is currently enjoying his break as there is a time to play South Africa in T20I and Test formats of the game. Recently, he became the successful skipper in Test format for India and also, the number 1 ranked ODI batsman.
