The third T20I between India and Australia in Hyderabad has been called off due to wet outfield.  Series was set for a decider at the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium but heavy rain a day before the game hampered the outfield in such a way that the ground staff was unable to make the ground ready for the last game of Australia’s tour of India 2017.

There was a packed house in Hyderabad, everyone was waiting for a cracking contest but the game was called off after the umpires found the outfield unfit for even a five-over game to take place and the crowd was left disheartened.

Meanwhile, when the ground staff was trying to create a miracle out of nowhere, Indian players were seen practicing with their trademark, football and soon decided to give the crowd some treat, when the India captain Virat Kohli, Vice-captain Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya decided to try their big hits as left-handers.

But soon the former India captain and current wicketkeeper-batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni too joined them and tried his hand as a left-handed batsman.

Though the match got called off, the crowd did saw the unique side of the Indian team. The series has now ended in a draw at 1-1, and India’s next assignment is a three-match One-Day International series starting 22nd October against New Zealand, followed by a three-match T20I series.

The three-match T20I series opener will be played at Delhi’s Feroz Shah Kotla which will be the last game for veteran fast-bowler, Ashish Nehra. The 38-year old announced his retirement from every form of cricket and said that he is happy to finish his 18-year long career in front of his home crowd.
