India were quite impressive in their emphatic win against England in the first ODI at Trent Bridge. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli led India from the front in the run chase as they registered a crucial win.

Having won the toss and chose to bowl first, Indian bowlers backed Virat Kohli’s decision. Although having failed to pick out any wickets inside power play overs, Indian spinners came into foray in the middle overs.

Kuldeep Yadav was at the forefront in India’s bowling effort as he managed an impressive six wickets in his spell. He incidentally also became the first ever spinner to take six wickets against England. Also, he managed to break numerous records on the way.

Asked to chase 269, Indian openers were good from the start. But once Shikhar Dhawan was dismissed by Moeen Ali inside power play, captain Virat Kohli partnered Rohit Sharma. The Indian skipper has shown his class with the bat after a dull T20I series.

He hardly put a step wrong in his 75 run knock and scored these runs with utmost ease. However, after a well made 150 run partnership with Rohit Sharma for the second wicket, Virat Kohli was dismissed for a superb delivery from Adil Rashid.

Although Rashid had a tough day at the office going for runs across the ground, he managed to pull the ring out of the hat. A conventional leg spinner that spun wildly has helped Rashid pick out Virat Kohli courtesy of a stumping.

Jos Buttler was very quick to dislodge the bails quickly effecting the dismissal. Incidentally, this is the first time that Virat Kohli got stumped out in seven years. In case if you did not watch the game, here is how Virat Kohli got dismissed.
