Not very long ago, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma were all over the news feed. Starting from the newspapers, magazines to social media, the cricket star and the Bollywood actress dominated all the headlines, as they got married after a lot of speculation.

After almost three years of courtship and rarely making any statement publicly about their relationship, Kohli and Anushka tied the knot in Italy on December 11 in a private affair, keeping the outside world in the dark over the whole development.

They shared the news only after getting married, taking to Twitter to share separate pictures of their wedding with the same caption that read:

“Today we have promised each other to be bound in love for ever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you. This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans & well wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey.”

The Italian wedding was followed by a couple of receptions in Delhi and Mumbai, respectively. After that, the couple spent some time in South Africa where India is currently taking on the hosts in the One-Day International series. The newlyweds enjoyed their time together in the African nation to the fullest.

But while the wedding was all over the news feed just a few weeks ago, one can say the world has moved on from the high-profile marriage.

However, it seems the Indian fans, residing in South Africa, are yet to get over the wedding, as they made sure to wish the India skipper when he was leading the Indian team in the recently-concluded second ODI against the Proteas on Sunday (February 4).

Kohli was fielding near the boundary ropes when a group of fans wished him while holding a giant poster of the India batting star and his wife in the wedding attire. The 29-year old was also quick to acknowledge the beautiful gesture from the fans, as he waved towards them before turning his focus towards the game.
