In the last few years, Virat Kohli has paid his tribute to women across the globe on Women’s Day without fail. Every year the Indian cricket star takes to Twitter or his other social media account to underline the importance of women in his life. The 30-year old has been always vocal about the roles played by his wife Anushka Sharma and his mother in his life and has made sure to pay them his tribute on March 8 – the day when the Women’s Day is celebrated.

However, Kohli has come up with a different message this year and it is bound to make his fans respect him even more. The most followed cricketer on Twitter posted a heartwarming video to spread an eye-opening message two days before the world will get busy wishing the women for their sacrifices and their role in the society. Kohli, however, seems to have realised the real contribution of women as in his video he said every day is Women’s Day and it should be celebrated accordingly.

He started off by wishing Happy Women’s Day before realising it was the wrong day, saying

“What, today isn’t Women’s Day?”

The India skipper then questioned why wasn’t it yesterday or tomorrow, thus sending out a strong message.

“This day or the 364 others, a Woman’s day is everyday. Nothing but respect and a Happy Women’s Day to all. Every day. #HappyWomensDay #WomenPower #WomensDay2019,” wrote Virat Kohli.

Kohli, meanwhile, is currently busy with the ongoing five-match ODI series against Australia.  The right-handed batsman starred with the bat in the second game, scoring 116 to help India beat Australia by 8 runs in a thriller. He will be looking to continue his form and guide the team to a win in the third match in Ranchi as India will be keen to seal the series comfortably.
