The world just cannot start get over the ‘babysitter’ sledge that took place during the third Test between India and Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in December. Seeing Rishabh Pant new to the crease, Australia skipper Paine had sensed an opportunity and tried to unsettle him.

The wicketkeeper teased Pant over MS Dhoni’s inclusion back in the T20I side and his exclusion, telling him they could use him at Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League. Not only that, Paine also asked Pant if he could babysit, saying:

“Tell you what big MS is back in the one day squad. Should get this bloke down to Hurricanes.. They need a batter. Fancy that extend you Aussie holiday, beautiful town Hobart too… get him a water front apartment. Have him over for dinner. Do you babysit? I can take my wife to the movies while you watch the kids.”

The cricketing world has since then not moved on from the incident. The Babysitter tag then started garnering more attention after Bonnie Paine, Paine’s wife, posted a picture alongside Pant who was holding one of her kids.  The picture went viral within a blink of an eye and fans are still not over it.

And now Star Sports has used it to take a dig at Australia ahead of their visit to India later this month.  The advertisement shows former India batsman Virender Sehwag playing with kids dressed in Australian jerseys as he says India is ready to welcome the babies, thus taking a sly dig at the team from the Down Under.

Australia will play two T20Is and five ODIs against India. The tour will start with the T20I leg. The first T20I will be played on February 24 in Vizag while the second will be held three days later in Bengaluru.
