ToggleFormer India cricketer Yuvraj Singh made his debut in Global T20 Canada when the tournament kicked off with Toronto Nationals taking on Vancouver Knights in the campaign opener. The veteran cricketer didn’t have a great time as he failed to shine with the bat with his side also finishing on the losing side.
Yuvraj makes his GT20 Canada debut
The Punjab-born cricketer announced his international retirement last month to enjoy his cricket and playing in T20 league across the globe. Soon after that, Toronto Nationals roped him for this season of Global T20 Canada. He played his first game since the Indian Premier League where he turned out for Mumbai Indians, who lifted their fourth title beating Chennai Super Kings. Yuvraj Singh played only four games despite striking a fifty in the first game against Delhi Capitals despite ending on the losing side.

Yuvraj, who was the star of the show on the tournament opener failed to show his magic. He managed to score only 14 runs from 27 deliveries before getting out in a bizarre fashion. Rizwan Cheema got the better of Yuvraj Singh as he tried to clear the ropes with a big heave. But Yuvraj failed to connect the ball before it fell on the stumps after the wicket-keeper was unable to grab the ball. The veteran all-rounder walked off without even waiting for the umpire’s decision. However, later on, replays revealed that Yuvraj was well inside the crease when the ball hit the wicket, and he made a mistake by not waiting for a decision.
