Yuzvendra Chahal bowled Rassie van der Dussen with an absolute beauty in the ongoing game between India and England in Southampton. Faf du Plessis’ decision to bat first turned out to be a bad one as Jasprit Bumrah wreaked havoc with the no ball. India’s pace spearhead looked sharp right from the start and did not take much time in putting India on top.

The right-arm pacer dismissed Hashim Amla and Quinton de Kock cheaply to leave the Proteas reeling at 24 for 2 in the crucial clash. Du Plessis and van der Dussen then provided the innings with some much-needed solidity. The duo took the score past the 50-run mark, much to the relief of the South African dressing room. However, just when it looked like du Plessis and van der Dussen had their eyes set, Yuzvendra Chahal struck.

On the first ball of the 20th over, Chahal sent back van der Dussen to put India on top once again. Batting on 22,  van der Dussen went for a reverse sweep and failed miserably. However, the credit should be given to Chahal who turned the ball brilliantly to shatter the stumps.

Chahal, nonetheless, struck on the final ball of the same over to send back Faf du Plessis and leave South Africa reeling at 80 for 4. The ongoing game is a must-win clash for South Africa. They have started their tournament on a poor note. The Proteas have lost both of their opening games. In the tournament-opener, they suffered a heavy 104-run defeat at the hands of England. In their second game, they lost to Bangladesh by 21 runs.
