Well, it was quite a series for Bangladesh. They started off well and then had a good chance of making it 2 in 2 but unfortunately, ended up being the victim of Rohit Sharma’s class. However, they have got the brilliant chance in the final T20I with the youngsters setting up the game by Mahmudullah Riyad but failed to make use of it, thus, ended up on the wrong side of things.

Chasing a tally of 175 runs, Bangladesh lost Liton Das and Soumya Sarkar cheaply but the young Naim and Mithun has made a perfect partnership in the middle to make things fall in place. But then came the spell of Shivam Dube and Deepak Chahar, which completely took the game away from Bangladesh.

Further, he gave his best wishes to the young Mohammad Naim, who almost took the game away from Indians. Mahmudullah Riyad hopes the youngster would continue the same for Bangladesh in order to deliver goods for the team at crucial junctures of their journey.

”I think we had a chance looking at the way Naim and Mithun had a partnership. We lost wickets in a rapid way and that cost us the game. We needed 49 runs in 5 overs, we had a chance, but we missed it. The efforts that boys have put in, that was good to see,” Mahmudullah Riyad said.

”We could not finish it well after winning the first game. I think he (Naim) is a very talented batsman, the way he played his innings, it was a calm and composed one. All the three seamers executed their plans and bowled really well in the series,” he concluded his speech at the post-match presentation.

All in all, Bangladesh will head into the Test series with a good momentum on their side, as they have done pretty decently to all their previous tours.
