Following the addition of Steve Smith and David Warner, the current Australian Cricket Team looks rock solid on the paper. They recently outsmarted England in England conditions to retain their Ashes Trophy and are going in the right direction to be the tough contender for the ICC World Test Championship. Meanwhile, the head coach Justin Langer believes that they will become a great team if they beat India in India.

Speaking to ‘ESPNCricinfo’ ahead of the Ashes starting August 1, Langer said taking charge of the team, which was reeling in the aftermath of the ball-tampering scandal last year, took its toll on him especially during the drawn fourth Test against India.

However, they have made a fine comeback by thrashing Sri Lanka in the home conditions and prepared well to make an impact on the ICC World Cup 2019. It was followed by a stunning show during Ashes Trophy 2019, which helped them to retain the cup.

It reminds me how hard it is – Justin Langer

Following the incredible journey with the team so far, the head coach of Australia Justin Langer quoted that it was pretty hard for sure but wants to press the fast forward button to knock off Indian team in Indian conditions. Further, he went on to add saying that thrashing India in India is ultimate for him.

“It reminds me of how hard it is, that’s for sure,” Langer told ESPNcricinfo of India’ intimidating home form. “It’s always been the case that it’s been hard to win in India. But that’s the expectation and we’ve got a couple of years now to find that maturity I’m talking about, to be nice and battle-hardened and as ready as possible for that series.”

“I think it was an indication of the maturity of our team,” Langer said. “I don’t mean maturity in age but coming together as a group, it takes great skill but it takes time, great mental toughness and endurance, to be able to back it up over and over again,” Justin Langer quoted regarding the change in team’s performance.

Perhaps, the first-ever series victory of India in India is hurting the Australian cricket team like nothing else. If they manage to beat India in India, Australia would erase the stains on their Jersey for sure, as it will be history if achieved.

I just love what I script. Over the years, Cricket has been my passion and crisping articles on it gives me an immense pleasure...Cheers...!!!
