The comparison between Virat Kohli and Babar Azam refuses to die down. The India skipper was already one of the best in the world when Babar Azam made his international debut in 2015. In just five years, Babar Azam has established himself as one of the best in the world while Virat Kohli continues to be regarded widely as the best in the world.

When it comes to stats across formats, he is heads and shoulders above his contemporaries. At just 31, Virat Kohli has hit a staggering 70 centuries and 104 half-centuries in international cricket. With 43 tons to his name, he is second in the list of most centuries in ODIs. Virat Kohli is the only player in the world with average of more than 50 in all the three formats of the game.

Babar Azam is equally consistent as well. He averages more than 50 in ODIs and T20Is and has an average of over 45 in the longest format of the game. Just like Virat Kohli, the Pakistan star has also proved himself in almost all the parts of the world.

Virat Kohli or Babar Azam:

While the jury is still out to decide who is better between Babar Azam and Virat Kohli, former Australia spinner Brad Hogg has given his take. Brad Hogg was interacting with his fans when one of the Pakistani fans asked him about the better player between the India and Pakistan star.

Brad Hogg was recently asked to compare Babar and KL Rahul too and he had picked the former. But this time around, the ex-cricketer tried to play safe and did not pick any player as the better one. Instead of that, Brad Hogg wrote:

“That’s Putting me in Dangerous territory. Who is it?  Both lead the way for there country. It will be a great Test Match when you can watch both of them play on the same field together. Let’s appreciate the best at work. Kohli the senior Babar the junior”
