After a fine time, Wriddhiman Saha set to play in a professional game. He is all set to make a return to Bengal to play in the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019.  The wicketkeeper-batsman is hopeful of recovering in time to make things happen for him.

Wriddhiman Saha has been out of international cricket for more than a year now but the wicketkeeper-batsman is on the road to recovery and will very soon be in action. He would like to get some game time ahead of the Indian Premier League 2019.

I am Very close to 100% – Wriddhiman Saha

Saha revealed that he is all set to feature for Bengal in the upcoming domestic tournament. Though he isn’t fully fit, Saha is hopeful that he can recover in time for the tournament. He will be joining the conditional camp to look after his game and blend with the team.

Further, he admitted that it has been a long time for him to have a game under his belt. Saha quoted that he would like to play club cricket if the Bengal Cricket Association allows him to play.

“I’m very close to 100 per cent. I will play the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. I’m returning to Kolkata after February 15 and will join the Bengal team’s conditioning camp on February 16 or 17,” Saha told to Indian Express. ”There’s no time to play a club match (before the national T20). If the CAB asks me to play a club game before playing for Bengal, I will do that.”

“We are aware of that (Saha’s lack of game time). But he is such a big cricketer, we are hoping that he will be able to make the adjustments very quickly,” Lal told to The Indian Express.

Well, it would be interesting to see how things would cope up for Wriddhiman Saha. Most probably, he would like to feature in all those games, as it has been a long time for him to play a competitive game.
