Yuvraj Singh turned up for a photoshoot for his new franchise, Mumbai Indians for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League.

The veteran all-rounder posed for photos with his new jersey for IPL 2019.

Mumbai Indians took to Twitter to share some of the glimpses from the photoshoot done by Yuvraj Singh.

He was bought by the Mumbai-based franchise in the second round of IPL auction at his base price of Rs 1 Crore.

Yuvraj found no buyers in the first round of the auction and went unsold.

There were high chances of him going unsold for this season but Mumbai Indians decided to add the experienced all-rounder to their roster.

He had played for Kings XI Punjab in the previous season of IPL, where he again had been sold for his base price of Rs 2 Crore.

He could just manage 65 runs in eight matches last year off 73 balls, that saw franchise releasing him.

Yuvraj has earlier played for franchises like Sunrisers Hyderabad, Pune Warriors XI, Delhi Daredevils and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Ths upcoming season of IPL could very well be the final season of the league for Yuvraj as well.

Last year, he had said that he will be taking a call on his career after World Cup 2019 and in all likeliness, he will quit the game after IPL – if not selected in the World Cup squad.

He is though out of the race for a place in the World Cup team and has minute chances of getting selected in the team.

Yuvraj had last played for India in 2017 during the tour of West Indies.

He was rested for the series against Sri Lanka that followed and is yet to make a comeback

There were reports that he had failed the yoyo test but cleared it later.

However, he could not do well with the bat in domestic cricket and IPL, that saw him not being recalled to the squad

At the same time, Suresh Raina had also cleared the test and he was recalled later he did well in domestic cricket.

IPL 2019 kicks off on March 23 with Chennai Super Kings taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Mumbai Indians play their first game of the season on March against Delhi Capitals in Mumbai.

Yuvraj Singh is expected to be part of playing XI in the starting phase of the league.
