Yuvraj Singh Returns to the Punjab Squad for the Next Ranji Tie

Veteran India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh will be available for Punjab’s next Ranji Trophy tie against Delhi starting from November 28 (Wednesday). Meanwhile, Yuvraj returned to the nets after missing the first two matches against Andhra and Madhya Pradesh.

Punjab had the worst possible start to their Ranji Trophy campaign. They are currently at the second last position of Elite Group A & B with two points from two games. And now with the return of their star player Yuvraj Singh, they will look to turn around in the premier tournament.

The dashing cricketer showed no sign of rustiness while batting at the nets. He timed the ball from the middle of the bat and looked in good touch to change the fortunes of Punjab. Yuvraj Singh played for Punjab in the Vijay Hazare trophy under the leadership of Mandeep Singh. He scored 264 runs in seven innings but was ignored for a place in any of the Deodhar Trophy squad.

Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kings XI Punjab decided not to retain the veteran all-rounder. And now, the southpaw will aim to make a mark before the auctions to grab the eyeballs of the franchises. The auction is likely to take place on December 18 at Jaipur.
