There is absolutely no denying the fact that Yuvraj Singh is one of the most fierce competitors on and off the cricket field. Who can forget what happened to England in the inaugural World T20 when Andrew Flintoff tried to take him on verbally and Stuart Broad ended up conceding six sixes in an over. Away from the cricket field too, the World Cup-winning star has proved his mettle as he made a miraculous comeback to the cricket field after defeating cancer.

But when it comes to his mother, the southpaw’s fierceness takes the back seat and he recently revealed something which totally proves it. The 35-year old revealed that he is not allowed to ride a bike despite his passion for it and the reason behind it is that his mother has forbidden him to do so, warning him of dire consequences if he does not follow her instruction.

And like a good son, Yuvraj did not go against his mother’s wish and instead takes pleasure in driving cars.

“I am not allowed to ride them,” he said. “My mom has taken an oath, ‘The day you ride a bike, I will leave the house.’ To keep her in the house, I do not ride a bike.”

“I love driving all cars. I have a Mercedes, an Audi, a BMW. Two cars were given to me when I hit six sixes. My favourite car is a Mercedes, which is my mom’s car,” he added.

Meanwhile, Yuvraj is currently trying to get back into the national team.  However, the southpaw, who was dropped from the team after the West Indies tour for poor form and fitness, has failed to do well in the Ranji Trophy so far. He managed just 20 and 42 in the two innings of his only Ranji Trophy game this season which Punjab lost by an innings and 117 runs at the hand of Vidarbha.
