Shivam Dube received plaudits for putting on a good show with the bat against West Indies during the second T20I match at Greenfield International Stadium. After KL Rahul got out early on in the innings, Shivam Dube was promoted to bat up the order by Indian team captain Virat Kohli. It was an innings that never really got going for the youngster in the initial spell. He breathed a sigh of relief after he scored a four and a six off Jason Holder’s over.

It was when he started to go about his business with relative ease. The best part of Shivam Dube came when he smashed a hat-trick of sixes off Kieron Pollard, which pretty much summed up his overall performance. He scored a brilliant half-century on the back of three fours and four sixes. He was dismissed by Hayden Walsh on 54 (30).
