Yuzvendra Chahal’s batting continues to be the talk of the town despite the India leg-spinner being one of the worst batsmen in the team. Time and again, one has seen players having some fun at the expense of the spinner’s batting. In fact on some occasions, Yuzvendra Chahal himself give others the chance to make fun of his batting.

Yuzvendra Chahal does not have any batting numbers to boast off in his international career. In 9 ODI innings, he has managed just 49 runs while in 4 T20Is, he has scored only 5 runs. But on Tuesday, his IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore left everyone surprised by revealing that the spinner has had a decent outing with the bat in first-class cricket during his U19 days.

The Bangalore-based outfit shared the stats of one game that read that Yuzvendra Chahal had scored a hundred in a match in the 2008-09 edition of the Cooch Behar Trophy. He had scored 135 and 46 against Himachal Pradesh U19 and finished the tournament with 281 runs.

Sharing the interesting stats, Royal Challengers Bangalore captioned the post with: “Fancy playing up the order, Yuzi?”

But even that impressive stats were not enough for Chahal to get a compliment from his India and IPL skipper Virat Kohli. It all started when Yuzvendra Chahal himself took to Instagram to ask Kohli whether he was scared of losing his number three spot.

In reply, Kohli gave a cheeky response to Chahal’s warning and hilariously trolled the spinner, writing: “Definitely exhibition game.”

Previously, Chahal had jokingly asked Virat Kohli’s wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma to help him with opening the batting for India. Chahal said Virat might listen to her suggestion and that can help him in opening the batting.

“Next time bhabhi please say chahal ok opening Kara na chahal ko I wish aapki sun le,” he had commented on one of Anushka Sharma’s post.
