India and Windies will square off in the second ODI at Visakhapatnam in the five-match series. The hosts had convincingly won the first ODI by eight wickets and even had 47 balls in the bag. Thus, it was a dominating batting display from Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Both the talisman batsman stitched a partnership of 246 to help India cruise to the target. We bring you the Match Preview.

However, India will like to improve their bowling display. Indian fast bowlers could not hit the right lengths in the first match and would like to come up with a better performance. Mohammed Shami had an expensive day at the office as he leaked 80 odd runs. Therefore, it wasn’t an ideal return for India’s fast bowler.

Yuzvendra Chahal was the pick of the Indian bowler as the leg-spinner scalped three wickets and gave away only 41 runs. Chahal wasn’t amongst the wickets in the last two ODI series and this performance would have added a shot in his arm. Thus, Chahal will like to continue with his good show.

On the other hand, Windies were able to come up with a much better batting performance. The tourists went on to score 322 runs and they would be happy with their batting display. Shimron Hetmyer was able to score his third ODI hundred and was instrumental in getting Windies to a competitive score.

However, the visitors had no answers to the onslaught of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Therefore, the Windies should come up with better plans to get rid of World’s two best batsmen. In fact, both of the talismans will be discussed in Windies rendezvous and they would like to put a break on Indian juggernauts.

It is never easy to stop a dangerous pair like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Subsequently, Windies were not able to crack the code to get the better of Indian captain and vice-captain.

Meanwhile, India might bring in Kuldeep Yadav. The hosts had gone with a three-man pace attack at Guwahati. However, they might want to return to three spinners in Visakhapatnam. Mohammed Shami didn’t have an ideal return and might make way for the mystery chinaman spinner.

On the other hand, Oshane Thomas had impressed with his brisk pace in his ODI debut match. However, he would like to channel his speed with guile. Meanwhile, the Windies scored their runs at a brisk pace but could not keep wickets in the bag. Thus, they could not fire at all cylinders in the death overs. Hence, the visitors will like to rectify their mistakes in the second ODI.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli did the bulk of the scoring as Ambati Rayudu scored unbeaten 26 in the first match. Thus, Rayudu was able to spend some crucial time in the middle. Indian captain Virat Kohli has made it clear that they are looking at Rayudu to deliver the goods at number four position. Consequently, Rayudu will like to grab his chances with both hands.
