Indian skipper Virat Kohli has termed facing Mustafizur Rahman as one of the biggest challenges. Labelling him as a different bowler, Kohli said that it will be a challenge to play the left-arm pacer because the Indian team does not get to play left-arm pacers regularly.

“He [Mustafizur]is a very good bowler. He has played several matches with red ball. All the left-handed pacers we usually play are different bowlers from him. You need to pay extra attention to him. Because we don’t play left-arm pacers usually because we don’t have anyone in the team. It will be a challenge but we are looking forward to this challenge,” he said.

Mustafizur has been under the scanner of late as he went wicketless in the three T20Is against India. Prior to that, he also hasn’t been a regular in Tests. But Rahman will be leading The Tigers’ pace attack in the upcoming series and will have a key role to play. The Indore pitch will be assisting pacers and Rahman will hold the key for the visitors.

The home side will also look to cash on pacers. Kohli also hinted that they will play three pacers and same could be the case with Bangladesh.

The first Test of the series will be played in Indore from tomorrow. The second and last Test will kick off on November 22 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Prior to the Tests, both the teams played a three-match T20I series where the home team made a comeback after losing the first game and won the series 2-1.

While India have their full-strength team, Bangladesh are without opener Tamim Iqbal and all-rounder Shakib al Hasan. The former has withdrawn from the tour due to personal reasons while Shakib is banned from the game for one year.

Bangladesh have never defeated India in a Test match.
