While Glamorgan started this T20 Blast season with a 15-run victory against Gloucestershire on last Saturday (29th August), off-spinner Andrew Salter was the hero for the side. While Salter finished as the most wicket-taker for his team in the last T20 Blast season (14 wickets), he started the new season with the bowling figures of 4-0-20-4.

Timm van der Gugten and Prem Sisodiya also impressed with the ball in hand against Gloucestershire. Left-arm spinner Sisodiya managed to bowl a maiden over and he had the bowling figures of 4-1-12-1, while the right-arm pacer Gugten had the bowling figures of 3-0-17-2.

Earlier, in the first innings, captain Chris Cooke played the crucial knock of 51 not out off 35 balls. Also, opener Billy Root provided a solid start by scoring 29 runs.

Sam Hain was team’s most run-scorer in the T20 Blast 2019 as he finished in the seventh position in the most run-scorer table in that tournament (459 runs in 12 matches; average 41.72).
